schooner Zodiac cath at helmI grew up in Santa Cruz, California and currently live near Seattle, Washington. An avid boater, I’ve had a lifetime love of writing and the ocean. I wrote my first book, an undersea adventure, when I was five years old. Since, I’ve written features for a variety of magazines and newspapers and ghostwritten website content, blogs and books. A former radio news reporter, I am trained to synthesize large amounts of information into direct, succinct communications. Writing instructors who have influenced my writing are Frances Mayes, Ann Rice and Anais Nin.

I attended college in the bustling city of San Francisco, CA earning a Bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University in English and Publications.

Following graduation, I managed bookstores. My love of writing then led me to work in a newspaper office. This paved the way to a lifetime career in all facets of communications: book content writer/editor, radio journalist, magazine editor, corporate communications specialist, public information officer, blogger, social media manager, advertising copywriter, marketing manager and public relations analyst.
